Laurence Chu, MD, FACS, Biography
Dr. Laurence Chu is a practicing ENT surgeon and physician in Austin. With over twenty years of medical experience, he has an active practice. He has a curiosity and interest in developing technology with applications in the healthcare field. An early adopter of electronic records, he has interests in medical IT, developments in medical software, and telemedicine.
Dr. Chu has real world experience with the current changes in healthcare, technology and the evolving environment in the medical office and in hospitals. He is also an active principal investigator involved with cutting edge medical research in various medical areas, with an emphasis on vaccines.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, and a Certified Principal Investigator in clinical research.
Dr. Chu completed the Six Year Combined BA/MD program at Boston University. Graduate medical training in Otolaryngology was completed in Atlanta, at Emory University and during his active duty Air Force service completed training as a Flight Surgeon.
